I can't say that I entirely agree with the way that Maslow built his pyramid. I would probably rearange a few things to better fit what a think a person needs to survive. But, if I was to put myself on this pyramid, i would say that I was in the process of working my way up to the esteem level. I have most of the things that are included in the lower level of the pyramid, but am not quite complete on the esteem level. I think to gain respect you have to work hard and respect others. I don't see myself at this point in life, but I am working hard to get there.
Just to put this personal opinion in here at the last, I would like to say that i greatly look down upon Maslow's idea of sex as a need. I think it is more of a want than anything and that it does not need to be on his chart. I think that justifying sex as a need makes you weak.
